GOT lilac dream catchers

Hello Lovelies!

This week's GOT challenge theme is Lilac! I don't have very many lilac polishes, I actually used all the ones I own is this one mani! But I love the few I have, the base for this nail art is picture polish frosting by Cosmetic Cupcake, I won it in a giveaway a while back. These were inspired by some nails PlumeriaPainted did a while back, I tried switching the colors of the dream catchers from black to white, but it backfired on me.

I'm disappointed with how the white looks, but I don't think the black would been much better, maybe I should of tried a light purple or something like that?

Polishes I used:

Klean Color silver purple,
Rue beaute! unnamed,
Pure Ice A-list,
L.A Colors color craze tropical breeze,
L.A Colors color craze nuclear energy,
Wet n Wild wild shine french white creme,
Wet n Wild wild shine clear nail protector,
a dotting tool,
and a detail brush.

Tri-Polish Tuesdays Wet n Wild Fast Dry party of five glitters swatches

Hi girls!

I might of cheated a bit with today's Tri-Polish Tuesday post, but I'm pretty satisfied with what I ended up with! While digging around my stash looking for a new red/green/purple combo I happened upon this glitter topper which just so happens to have green, red, and purple glitters! This is Wet n Wild fast dry party of five glitters, besides the aforementioned colors, it also has silver and light blue hex glitters.

I've layered it over an unnamed RueBeaute! polish, it's a layered polish with purple, pink, and some other color I've forgotten, but after a couple uses it's mixed itself up thoroughly. I think this dark purple looks really good on me, I should use these shades more often!

He Picks My Polish skittle doodles

Hello lovelies!

He Picks My Polish has rolled around again, and I actually pulled off an attractive mani for once! I had my youngest brother pick my polishes this go round, and he picked some easy colors to work with. My three polishes are L.A Colors color craze sea siren, Essence colour & go little miss sunrise, and Wet n Wild wild shine french white creme.

I just painted little doodles on each nail while alternating between yellow and blue, and ended up with this skittle-ish design. And since I got a blue to work with, this also goes with the Monday Blues challenge!

FFTB If ten million fireflies lit up the world as I fell asleep

Hi girls!

Today's theme in the Finger Foods Theme Buffet is nature! I tried something I've never done before, fireflies! They ended up looking a tad pillbug-esque but I think I like the fat rolly-polly look of them. To start I did a gradient of L.A colors tropical breeze, e.l.f  coral dream, and NYC in a new york color minute heat wave.

After letting that dry for a few minutes, I added a thin coat of The Color Workshop gold digger and then I started on the fireflies. I started by painting the bodies in gray, and then outlining them in black and doing the details on their bellies. The I painted the wings in white, outlined them in silver, an used a dotting tool for the black eyes. And finally I used a detail brush to add the gold shimmers on their behinds.

Here's the other polishes I used:

Wet n Wild wild shine clear nail protector,
The Color Workshop base coat,
Wet n Wild wild shine metallica,
Wet n Wild wild shine french white creme,
Wet n Wild wild shine black creme,
Petites color fever vintage gray,
Lotus Herbals colour dew gold mist,
a dotting tool,
and a detailing brush.

GOT sparkly rainforests

Hi girls!

It's Golden Oldie Thursday and today's theme is bling! I own next to nothing in the way of nail embellishments, but I do have a couple nail art pen/rhinestones from Sassy & Chic that I got for a birthday. I used some green rhinestones from one of those, and created this sparkly green design to go with it! There is some stamping on the nails without rhinestones, I stamped a wavy design in black but it blended in with the green so unfortunately it's barely noticeable.

I started with two coats of Revlon colorstay rainforest, added a thin coat of Sephora by OPI Lights, Glammer-a, Action!, and my non existent stamping was done with Wet n Wild wild shine black creme and Shany plate SH23. If any of you can pick out the stamping, leave a comment!

Tri-Polish raspberry rose skittles

Hi girls!

It's Tri-Polish Tuesday and I think these are the best nails that I've come up with so far for this month! I used the same green as last Tuesday for the base for my nail art, Pure Ice home run. I haven't done roses in ages so I used this tutorial by PinkFlyingCow97 on Youtube to help me out. The shimmery polish I used for the striping and roses is NYC in a new york color minute fruit punch, it's a raspberry red super shimmery polish, and the purple is L.A colors color craze tropical breeze; I used that for the highlights on the roses.

I used Zoya giovanna for the leaves and Wet n Wild wild shine french white creme for the highlights on the leafs and roses. I really love the striped nails, I was surprised by how well those two polishes go together! I haven't done any striped nails in quite a while; I had forgotten how much I like them!

Pink Starry Galaxies

Hi girls!

I'm multi-tasking today, today's theme in the Finger Food challenge is galaxies, and it's over a pink base in AIS Stamping Sundays. I started with a base of e.l.f bubble gum pink, it came from the Disney Villains collection they did a while back, it's a dark coral pink creme that's opaque in two coats.

I sponged Wet n Wild wild shine lavender creme, NYC in a new york color minute fruit punch, an old unnamed bright pink polish, and Wet n Wild wild shine french white creme to create the cloudy galaxy look. I randomly dabbed Sephora by OPI Flurry Up! on the nail to give it some sparkle, and then I just freehanded some stars on a couple nails. The stamping portion of this mani was done with Konad white polish and Bundle Monster plate BM14, I only ended up stamping on the middle and ring finger, I thought if I did anymore it would muddle the design.

GOT Candyfloss Cutie and Lavender Creme watermelons

Hi girls!

This Thursday's theme in the GOT challenge is texture! I actually only own one texture polish, Rimmel London sweetie crush candyfloss cutie. Since it has such a sweet name, I had to stamp something sweet on top of it! I used Wistonia plate W118 to stamp a watermelon slice pattern in a darker shade of pink.

I love how fast textured polishes dry, it makes stamping a breeze since I don't have to wait ages between steps. The polish I stamped with is Wet n Wild wild shine lavender creme, it's a lovely hot pink creme polish that's perfect for stamping. All of the Wet n Wild polishes have great quality, I go through the french white creme and black creme from that brand by the bottle!

Tri-Polish glittery geometrics

Hi girls!

This is my second Tri-Polish Tuesday mani of the month, and I'm still rocking a green/purple/red combo.
I wanted to do a sort of geometric design, I started with a base of Wet n Wild wild shine french white cream, and then I used a detailing brush to outline triangles in each color. Then I just filled them in the rest of the way and added a thin coat of a gold glitter topper to make the whole thing really pop.

The sunshine was finally co-operating when I went to take my pictures, it really picked up the sparkle of the glitters on the nails!

Polishes I used:

Wet n Wild wild shine clear nail protector,
Wet n Wild wild shine french white creme,
L.A colors color craze tropical breeze,
Pure Ice home run,
The Color Workshop gold rush,
The Color Workshop base coat,
and a detailing brush.

Sunday Stamping~ Springtime in Paris

Hi girls!

I've joined the Adventures in Stamping Sunday challenge, and this Sunday's theme is Spring! I started with a gradient as my base, I really enjoy the look of pink and blue melded together, and I think the stamping really pulls it all together. I used a pink glitter topper on the very tips of my nails to finish off the gradient, it has little glitter hearts, but they're pretty hard to fish out of the bottle. So I ended up only getting one on my nails, but it landed right next to my Eiffel tower stamp which I think looks pretty cute!

The flowers are stamped with Wistonia plate W104 and Konad white and the Eiffel tower is W114 and Wet n wild wild shine black creme. I used two glitter toppers, the pink is LA splash love crush, and the one I used over the entire gradient is Revlon whimsical.

Other polishes I used:

Pure Ice home run,
Essence Colour & Go modern romance,
Wet n Wild wild shine tickled pink,
Artmatic unnamed,
Wet n Wild wild shine clear nail protector,
The Color Workshop base coat,
and a sponge.

GOT neon distressed nail art

Hi girls!

I've gotten sucked back into the Golden Oldie Challenge, and today's theme is neon! I used Chalkboard Nail's distressed nail tutorial last month, and I've been wanting to try it out in white ever since. I used three different neon polishes, Wet n wild wild shine lavender creme, NYC in a new york color minute heat wave, and a unnamed Ruebeaute! layered polish. And then I just did the final layer with Wet n wild wild shine french white creme instead of the usual black.

I really love the white look, I think it lets the colors shine through in a lot more places on the nail. I'll try this in a green/blue/yellow combo next, I think that'll look stunning!

Tri-Polish green/red/purple gradients

Hi girls!

This month's color theme in the Tri-polish challenge is red/green/purple. I have to admit I didn't think I could possibly make these colors go together, but I ended up doing a pretty good job!
My three polishes are Orly ever burgundy, Zoya giovanna, and Wet n wild megalast disturbia.

I started with a base of Wet n wild wild shine french white creme and then I sponged my three polishes onto that to create a gradient.
My red got pretty lost in all my blending, but I really like how the green melded with my purple.

Cinco de Mayo sugar skull nail art

Hi girls!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! My nails are inspired by the sugar skull in the background, it came from a little shop in Albequerque New Mexico. It was surprisingly difficult to get pictures of the nails holding the skull so I have some creative prop placement, haha.

I started with a base of white and went from there, the eyes are some rhinestones that came in a 3N1 nail art pen by Sassy+Chic. I wasn't sure if they were too yellow, but they turned out to be a dead match for the real eyes on the sugar skull!

I used a mixture of dotting tool, striping brush, and detail brush for the features of the skull. I broke my middle nail down to the quick a couple days ago, so I'm down to a nubbin on that one, but I really didn't wan't to hack my other nice long ones so I think I'll just let it be for the time being.

Polishes I used:

Wet n wild wild shine clear nail protector,
Wet n wild wild shine french white creme,
Color Mates nail art black,
Color Mates nail art lime,
Wet n wild wild shine lavender creme,
Wet n wild megalast candy-licious,
The Color Workshop base coat,
a dotting tool,
and a detail brush.
