weekly wrap up, grape nails, and toxic nails

So today's post is going to be much bigger than usual because I'm behind on posting. Day 143's prompt was to make something in which the sense of taste is the essential component. I took that to mean food, so I stamped my nails with grapes. My pinky nail's polish got smeared before pictures so I have some strategic hand positions.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
L.A colors color craze tropical breeze,
L.A colors color craze jewel tones,
Pure ice scandal,
and Bundle monster plate BM05.

Day 144's prompt is to use your feet as your hands or your hands as your feet. I almost never do nail art on my toes so that's what I did today. I stamped black skulls on a bright green polish and painted toxic beneath them.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
Pure ice free spirit,
Konad special stamping polish black,
a detail brush,
and Shany plate SH02.

And finally here's my weekly wrap up:

Reading: Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow,
Watching: Psych and and Quantum leap,
Listening to: We didn't start the fire by Billy Joel,
Eating: pink lemonade cookies,
Wearing: my new earrings,
Drinking: hot chocolate,
Feeling: happy,
Buying: dangly steampunk earrings,

Pink tentacles mani

I saw these nails on pinterest and loved how they look so I used them as inspiration for my pink Wednesday nails. My nails look totally different than hers but I really like the look. I was suprised that the pin didn't make clumps of polishes, and how easy it was to do. I think I'm going to try using pins for finer details like eyes and faces in my future nails.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong,
Wet n wild wild shine french white creme,
Orly razzle,
and a pin.

cloudy day nails

Day 137's prompt is to make something inspired by how the sky looks when you first see it in the morning. It was overcast and grey early this morning so I painted my nails with gray and light blue clouds. They didn't come out as well as I hoped they would. I think my polishes are too similar in color, and that's why it didn't photograph well.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
Pure ice A-list,
and Wet n wild wild shine metallica.

black and white outift

Day 136's prompt is to create a life sized person out of clothes or whatever else is on hand. I used a dress form and made a black and white themed outfit. I got this hat a couple months ago from a thrift shop but haven't got up the nerve to wear it in public. But I wear the shoes all the time, they're one of my favorite pairs.

sea monster

Day 124's prompt is to make something seem like it's passing through a solid material or a material it normally wouldn't go through. I had some paint strips left over from my nar whale project, and I made a sea monster on top of my old trunk. I used an X-acto knife to cut it out and little strips of tape to stand it up.
