Pink wednesday stamped flowers

I know this doesn't look pink but, it is pink I promise! I don't know why but when I photograph this polish it looks purple. I used bundle monster plate BM19 and I really like the design, but it's too small for my nails. With this design I can layer it and it doesn't look funny but lots of other bundle monster plates are like that and you can't layer. Besides the smallness problem, I really like this plate and how it stamps.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
Pure ice scandal,
The color workshop mystery pink,
and Bundle monster plate Bm19.

365 hollowed egg

Today's 365 prompt is to make something out of or inspired by a eggshell. I hollowed out a egg from my chickens and drew tangled swirls all over it with a paint marker. I used a pin to poke holes in it so I could blow out the yolk.

Chinese ladder braided ear buds

The prompt for day 122 of my 365 challenge was to make a working musical instrument. I was totally stumped for ideas so I was going to paint my nails with music notes, I tried the music note idea and it failed miserably on my nails. So I settled with modifying a music related thing. I was planning on doing this to my ear buds anyway after I saw it here, so I guess it all worked out. I used an awesome tutorial I found off Pinterest, but sadly I couldn't find it again. The tutorial had linked back to the page above so you can see the idea and how to do it. I used two hanks of embroidery floss to make it and I taped it to my desk while I tied it.

365 tin foil fairy

Here's the side,

the front,

the front with flash,

and the back.

Today's 365 prompt was to make something out of tin foil. I made this fairy out of molded tinfoil. I used a little tape to get the wings to stick but besides that it's all tin foil. Apparently tin foil doesn't like being photographed so I have lots of pictures with and without flash. But I finally got some good ones so I'm happy.

What I'm doing lately, 365, and a new franken polish

Hello! Here's my weekly wrap up:

Watching: School rumble and Chobits
Listening: the Grease sound track
Reading: Dark parties by Sara Grant
Wearing: jeans and floppy sweatshirts
Eating: tamales!
Drinking: water and hot cocoa
Feeling: happy
Buying: new sunglasses
Liking: staying home and watching tv late
Disliking: that it decided to snow

Today's 365 prompt is to make something in a box. I took a little jewelry box I had saved and made it into a little forest. I used paint, glitter glue, wire, and wool to make it.

I made this new franken polish because I only have dark blue polishes.
Here's the polishes I mixed:
Pure ice french kiss,
L.A colors color craze static electricity,
Wet n wild wild shine french white creme,
and The color workshop white.
I added some flower decal stickers on top just as an extra.

Love potion no.9 bottle

Day 107 of my 365 challenge's prompt was to buy something from a thrift store and make something out of it. I had skipped over this day a couple weeks ago because I couldn't get to a store to find something, but I finally did it today. I bought this heart shaped bottle because I thought it was really pretty and unique looking. I didn't know what I was going to do with it 'till I got home though. I painted potion no.9 on it with black acrylic paint and filled it with pink/red water.

Pink wednesday and 365

Hello! For today's pink Wednesday I had this whole Minnie mouse mani planned out but then I got pressed for time so I just did the polka dot part. Hopefully I'll be able to do the whole mani I planned later. I started with a base of pink and used a dotting tool to do the white dots.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
Wet n wild wild shine lavender creme,
Wet n wild wild shine french white creme,
and a dotting tool.

Day 118 of my 365 challenge's prompt was to make something out of wood. I made the house made of sticks from the three little pigs story out of shish kebab skewers.

Fairy house and crackle mani

Day 117 of my 365 challenge's prompt is to go somewhere you wouldn't usually go and make something inspired by that location. I went out and found this old mossy stump that had a hollow in it. I made a sort of fairy house with moss, ferns, and that sort of thing. The first picture is just some water droplets hanging on the moss that I thought looked cool so I took a picture.

I painted this mani a couple days ago when I was experimenting with my crackle. I like how it came out but it didn't crackle that well.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
The color workshop mystery sparkly black,
and Sally Hansen crackle overcoat distressed denim.

Origami wind rose

Day 116 of my 365 challenge's prompt is to make something out of a map, or something that ends up looking like a map. I took a old road map and made a origami rose out of it. I was thinking about maps and wind roses and that's how I came up with this. Here's the instructions I used to make the rose.

Beaded skull

Day 115 of my 365 challenge's prompt is to use a kit of some sort, discard the instructions and make something entirely different. I had a kit to make a beaded butterfly that I had never used. I used the beads to make a skull. One of the pictures is without flash so the color will show up better.

What I've been doing lately & soft pretzels

Hello! Here's my weekly wrap up:

Eating: Chicken bakes from Costco,
Drinking: water,
Wearing: jeans and t-shirts,
Reading: Dante's inferno
Feeling: normal,
Playing: Harvest moon ds,
Liking: that the sun was out
Disliking: wading through Dante's inferno
Watching: Chobits
Listening: Rio by Duran Duran

Day 114 of my 365 challenge's prompt is to make something with bread. I baked soft pretzels and made one to look like a skull and cross bones. I used walnuts for the eyes and put them on before I baked them so they would stick. Here's where I found the recipe. Sadly they didn't come out that well. I think my baking time was off. But it looks pretty!

Day 113 and Silver star mani

Hello! Day 113 of my 365 challenge's prompt is to use red materials. I made a poison apple out of red, brown, and white felt. I sewed it together with dark green embroidery thread.

And here's the nails I'm wearing! They remind me of the sweater the other mother makes in Coraline for some reason. I was originally going to stamp silver sparkles but it didn't show up clearly so I just used plain silver.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
Orly star of bombay,
L.A colors art deco silver,
and monster bundle plate BM20.

Pink wednesday and 365

Day 111 of my 365 challenge's prompt was to make a facial expression out of a meal I eat today. I didn't really like that prompt so I changed it to using food to make something.
I made a kraken/giant squid out of soy sauce, sweet & sour sauce, and terriaki sauce. And the picture of Empress isn't there for any particular reason, I just threw it in.

And here's my pink Wednesday mani. I stamped purple knot like things on a pink polish. I really like this stamp but even though I can't figure out what its supposed to be.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
Wet n wild wild shine lavender pearlescent,
Pure ice scandal,
Konad plate M4.

No use crying over spilt ghost!

Day 110 of my 365 project's prompt was to make something out of a spilt liquid. I used milk to make a ghost on one of our plates. I used a wooden spoon to drip/arrange it into the right shape.

And since it's Valentines day I painted my nails accordingly. I used a lipstick image on my first four fingers and a "I heart you" one on my thumb.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
N.Y.C long wearing nail enamel black lace creme,
L.A colors art deco silver,
and Bundle monster plate Bm02.

PS: Happy Valentines day!

Silver heart mani and keyhole

Hello! Today I stamped my nails with one of the new nail plates I got recently. I stamped silver hearts on a base coat of a dark red. I really like how it looks except for my pinkie. The image wouldn't fit onto it so I have it kind of diagonal.
Here's the polishes I used:
L'oreal grow strong clear,
L.A colors art deco silver,
Wet n wild wild shine Jezebel,
and Bundle monster plate Bm03.

Day 109 of my 365 project's prompt was to make something in a patch of dirt or out of dirt. I arranged a bunch of rocks into a keyhole shape on a patch of dirt.

Day's 107 & 108

Day 107's prompt was to make a ball or something out of a ball. I made a golden ball like in the frog prince story. But mine has a twist, this is what I imagined it would look like if the frog never got it out of the well. So I made it all dented and rusty looking. I made it out of coke bottles, tape, and paper mache. I wasn't able to blog about it yesterday because it took forever to dry and I still had to paint it. But better late than never!

Day 108's prompt was to make something on a steamed up mirror. I used soap to draw a crown on the mirror.
